SMOS St. Vincent DePaul Dress Down for Dollars!
SMOS supports St. Vincent DePaul
The St. Vincent DePaul society of St. Margaret is getting ready to kick off their Winter Outreach drive. The Winter Outreach event is an essential fundraiser for SVDP, to assist our community neighbors during the challenging winter months. Many of our school and church neighbors need help with utility bills, winter clothing, and housing, especially those facing eviction. SVDP strives to help all who seek assistance, upholding our mission of charity and compassion for those in need.
The school has volunteered to help in two ways: a “dress down for dollars” day in November and an essential items drive in December.
The first of these will be held on Monday, November 15, which also ties in with the feast day of St. Margaret of Scotland, our patron saint who devoted much of her life to acts of charity. Therefore, on Monday, November 15 all students will be allowed to dress down for $1! Feel free to send in a larger donation for our St. Vincent DePaul Society to help jumpstart the SVDP Winter Outreach drive.
