On the third Thursday in November, the SMOS Gun Sense team is hosting the fourth of a four-part series called “From Outrage To Action” – part four is on the children and gun safety.  Part I was on Legislative Advocacy, and Part II looked into several different ways that local St. Louisans (both City and County) can participate in local gun violence prevention efforts, and Part III dealt with the Catholic response to gun violence.

For Part IV, St. Margaret of Scotland is partnering with Be SMART For Kids and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital to present a conversation on Kids, Guns, & Safety. The one-hour program will begin with a presentation on the five principles of the Be SMART plan, followed by a discussion on the public health crisis of gun violence and its effects on children (it is the number one cause of death for children in the U.S.), and finishing with some Q&A from the participants. If you are around kids in any way, this is one you don’t want to miss!

All community stakeholders are welcome to join!
