Members of the SMOS Youth Ministry had an amazing time on their trip to El Paso for the Pilgrimage of Solidarity at the Border, learning all about migration. The youth attended along with Kevin Kuehl from the South City Immigrant & Refugee Ministry. The SMOS youth were SO impressive – they were curious, intelligent, friendly, and deeply faithful! Kevin helped lead our group of 80 participants from St. Louis in a program that helped them encounter immigration issues for themselves. It included presentations by NGOs, advocates, men and women religious, migrants, border patrol agents, and more, as well as prayer, reflection, and other activities. They are grateful to the Archdiocese of St Louis – Peace & Justice Commission for coordinating the trip!
