The faculty and staff of St. Margaret of Scotland recently had a half day for faculty meetings and professional development. During our meeting, we invited representatives from Easterseals Community and Disability Services.
Easterseals is an organization that seeks to provide full inclusion, equity, and access by providing disability and community services for children with disabilities and neurodivergence. During our faculty meeting, we participated in professional learning specifically about Autism Spectrum Disorder with a focus on understanding these students better and how to meet their needs in the classroom.
I was very impressed with our presenter and the faculty and staff’s participation. Know that we have a wonderful faculty and staff who are fully committed to our mission of creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive Catholic school based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and Catholic Social Teaching.
