NEW THIS SCHOOL YEAR… School families must have ALL parents/guardians in compliance with Protecting God’s Children BEFORE the start of School. If you are a new School family or you just haven’t yet registered for PGC, there will be one more opportunity coming up at our Parish to complete the workshop portion of the compliance process before the start of the new School year – on September 20th. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in.
Deadline to register is Monday, September 18. If this date does not work for your family, you can check the preventandprotectstl.org website to find other times and locations that might work better for your schedule.
Anyone who plans to volunteer at the school or parish – all employees and volunteers of St. Margaret of Scotland Parish and School working with/near/around minors and/or vulnerable adults – are required to complete the five components of the Archdiocese’s Safe Environment Program. After creating an account in the Prevent and Protect STL system, an individual must attend a Protecting God’s Children workshop, submit a national criminal background screening and agree to regular updates, view two online training modules, and read and agree to the Code of Ethical Conduct. Register at preventandprotectstl.org and use the passcode “stlprotect” to access the database.
