School Shoutouts 09-28-23

As part of Friday announcements, Principal Holley likes to give shout outs to our students who get caught doing acts of kindness around school.  We would like to share with you our weekly shout-outs.

Brian Schmidt would like to shout out to Margaret B. in 8th grade who has been doing an excellent job acting as a leader for Girls on the Run. She helps out during practice and is a great resource and a source of positivity for all the girls involved. This week one of the 3rd graders forgot her running clothes and Margaret stepped up and took the student to Maggie’s closet and helped her find what she needed so she wouldn’t miss practice, all without any prompting from a coach.

He also wants to shout out El D. and Colleen M. in 6th grade for being a consistent and constant source of positivity and energy in the Middle School.

Mrs. Scheiner would like to shout out Fletcher R. in first grade for helping out a friend that was having a hard time.

Mr. Holley would like to shout-out Jacob J. in Mrs. Dicker’s class for his intelligence and inquisitive nature.

He would also like to give Sam M. in eighth grade a shout-out for being a great leader during yearbook.

Mrs. Karako would like to shout out Louisa R. for picking up recess equipment that someone had left out and Jesse C. for picking up trash unprompted!

Mrs. Hoover would like to shout-out the choir for doing a wonderful job at Wednesday’s Mass. They sounded like angels! She would also a shoutout to Hugo H. for sharing a piece of his faith life with the first grade classes. He got to tell everyone about his Jewish identity and how he celebrated Yom Kippur!

And lastly, we would like to shout out Cash Hubbartt, a SMOS alum currently attending St. Mary’s High School, who was named the Sophomore Marianist Dragon of the Month for September this past week.
