Our community Día de los Muertos ofrenda is up in the cafeteria!  ALL are welcome to participate. Families and student(s) can choose to bring personal things to place on the altar.  Ideas of appropriate items include photos (or drawings!) of loved ones or pets that have passed on, photos of Saints, a rosary or cross, favorites items of the deceased (fruit, trinket, toy, candy, etc.).  While not required, we love receiving photos in tabletop frames so they are easy to display.

The altar will remain up for about 2 weeks, so you are welcome to send items in anytime this week or early next week.  Please be sure to label personal items clearly with your name and phone number.

For teachers, there is a curriculum guide located on the podium, and there are children’s books for storytime and tissue paper for making papel picado and flowers. (Mr. Shorter has a digital version of the curriculum guide.)
