This year marks the 50th anniversary of the celebration of Catholic Schools Week here in the United States.  Each year, the last week of January is dedicated to the recognition and celebration of our Catholic schools across the country, as well as those who help make Catholic education possible.

This year at SMOS, we kick off our Catholic Schools Week (as mentioned above) on January 28th – by hosting an open house for area families to come and see all that our school has to offer.  We spend the rest of that entire week celebrating our school community with service projects, special in-class activities, dress down days (Decade Day, anyone?), and school events such as our annual 8th grade vs. Teachers volleyball game.
