Is it a low continuous humming sound?  (Which could be either irritating or soothing depending on how you look at it). OR is it Dynamic Remotely Operated Navigation Equipment??  In this case – Yes and Yes!  DRONES are in the house, everybody!  Look out!

Ms. Skiljan’s Stream Lab Elective class is steeped in 21st Century Skills!  They are using their gifts of creativity and collaboration as they build various obstacles with recycled materials and then design their own Drone Obstacle courses!  How fun is this?!  I’ve always wanted to be the pilot and not the passenger!  Do you think they’ll let me drive?  After they become maneuver masters of these little guys, they’ll put their communication and critical thinking skills to the test and code their drones to perform specific tasks to fly on their own!

Each week, we will be highlighting the amazing and wonderful things that are happening in our classrooms and grade levels at St. Margaret of Scotland School. We are very proud of the work our teachers do with our students and are amazed by what happens at SMOS. Our goal is to share more about the hidden gem that is St. Margaret’s.
