Principal’s Message 08-29-24

St. Margaret of Scotland Families:

This week I would like to highlight one of our Parish Ministries, the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Our St. Vincent de Paul Society has been working in our neighborhood for one hundred years providing necessary services and easing the suffering of those who are affected by poverty.

I believe very strongly that the mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and our school are very much in line as we work to create leaders who embody the spirit of service exhibited by St. Margaret of Scotland by becoming caretakers of our community with works of service.

Because of this alignment of mission, the school will be working closely with the St. Vincent de Paul Society at SMOS parish in several ways this year.

Our first event is outlined with details in this newsletter. Our local pantry, Isaiah 58, has asked that we help organize school supplies that they have collected. I encourage all who can attend to please consider participating with your children. This is a great opportunity to practice our Corporal Works of Mercy and participate in the mission of our school and parish.

Have a great long weekend,

Patrick Holley
