Happy May! Traditionally we celebrate Mary throughout the month of May. Have you thought about how you would like to celebrate with your family this year? Here are some ideas:

1. Create a May altar in your home. A small area with a statue of Mary and some flowers is sufficient. Take time throughout the month to say hello to Mary at your May altar!
2. Pray the rosary – I know, easier said than done. Something that works for me is playing it on Spotify while I am in the car. You can increase the speed to make it go by a bit quicker 🙂
3. Deliver flowers or a happy treat to someone you know. You never know the power your actions have on others!
4. Visit a Marian shrine – we have two near us! You can visit Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, IL or the shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, MO. 
5. Learn a new Marian prayer, or teach it to your children. Our 5th graders are currently learning the Memorare and are loving it! Other suggestions might be the Hail Holy Queen or the Magnificat. 

All are welcome to join us next Thursday, May 9 at 2:00pm in the gym as our K-8 students gather to pray the rosary!
