We concluded National Vocations Awareness Week with a Vocations Fair right here at SMOS! Members of 7 different religious orders (as well as Fr. John) were present to talk with our 5-8th graders about their vocations, the orders they were there representing, and how we can hear God’s voice.
Happy New Year! No, it isn’t December 31st, but we are coming up on the first Sunday of Advent, which marks a new year in our Church. Sunday, December 1 is the beginning of the Advent season, so we will be celebrating Advent when we return from Thanksgiving break. Please join us in prayer in the following ways:
- We will bless all of our school Advent wreaths on Monday, December 2 in a prayer service at 8:00am.
- We will celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception with Mass on Monday, December 9 at 8:15am.
- Our 3-5th graders will go to Reconciliation on Tuesday, December 10 at 9:00am. Our middle school students will go at that time on Thursday, December 12.
- Our 1st graders will present their annual Nativity play on Friday, December 20 at 8:15am.
All are welcome to join us!
