Ladies Auxiliary is a diverse organization which includes all sorts of parishioners. Some women are retired, but most of us are still working in positions that cover everything from nurses, teachers, a judge, to accountants, lawyers, businesswomen. Moreover, while Ladies Auxiliary doesn’t have many women who have children in grade school, we do have all sorts of other women – moms with older children at home; with adult children; with adult children with their own children; with college-aged children; women with no children; and women with and without spouses. In other words, we have many different types of women.
Ladies Auxiliary also combines fundraising (the yearly raffle) with service, activities, parties, and spending money on various Church and School needs.
Finally beyond the funerals, the fundraising, we have speakers, plan the Christmas Bazaar and do other activities. And talk. And eat. And network. And make friends. Our regular third Monday of the month meetings include a short business meeting with all these activities following. Generally, meetings last about 90 minutes.
