Sacraments Holy Orders

Some of us are called to deepen and redefine how we live, serve and love as Christ did, through the Sacrament of Holy Orders. The deepest desire of bishops, deacons, and priests is to love God and be of service to God’s People.

St. Margaret of Scotland has been richly blessed by remarkable priests and deacons who have served our community generously over the years. We proudly support and appreciate the deep commitment our priests, deacons and Archbishops have made to us and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Since July 2011 we have been well-served by Fr. Matthew O’Toole, a native of South St. Louis (St. Joan of Arc Parish). He was installed as Pastor by Archbishop Robert Carlson on August 19, 2012.

Fr. O’Toole is known for preparing thoughtful and rich homilies, for listening attentively to the needs of the parish, and for his care of parishioners in need. In October 2018, Fr. O’Toole was awarded the 2018 Great Preacher Award by the Aquinas Institute in St. Louis.
