Art@SMOS was formed by a school parent who saw the need for a formal art program at St. Margaret of Scotland. For many years, parents taught art in the classrooms. As the school grew and the program evolved, an art teacher joined the staff to teach grades K-8.

Art@SMOS now provides support to the art program and teacher in several significant ways.

Square 1 Art Fundraiser
Held in the fall, students create art that is transformed into gifts that are available for purchase. The funds are used to purchase supplies for the art program.

Shaw Art Fair
Each year, student work from our art program is displayed during the Shaw Art Fair in October. Art@SMOS coordinates this effort by hanging art and overseeing the display throughout the weekend.

Volunteers
Volunteers are always needed to help in the art room and with mounting artwork. Art@SMOS assists the art teacher with soliciting volunteers for these and other special projects.
