It is our spiritual, Catholic foundation that has kept St. Margaret of Scotland strong, stable, and effective since 1918. Children are guided in the development of a living faith in God through religious instruction and the core and compassion modeled by adults who serve within the school community. The children attend Mass once a week at St. Margaret of Scotland Church and are also offered a variety of prayer experiences that celebrate liturgical seasons and cultures from around the world. Children are encouraged to put their faith into practice thorough various service projects during the course of the year.
Our urban school, located in south St. Louis City attracts a diverse population of students from a variety of backgrounds. It is our commitment to welcome all children in the community regardless of race, creed, or national origin. We are pleased that 20 to 30% of our enrollment includes students from non-Catholic faith traditions. The reason is both simple and profound: all parents know that St. Margaret’s offers an exceptional education rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and an abiding respect for fellow human beings.
