The extracurricular activities available at SMOS School.

Art Programs

Students take art lessons weekly in grades K-8, and participate in the Shaw Art Fair and Youth Art Month.

Dancing Classrooms

In Fifth Grade, students learn ballroom dancing through St. Louis Dancing Classrooms program, culminating in a competition.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion provides ongoing formation programs in our mission values for all students, faculty, and staff, and families at St. Margaret of Scotland School.

Dragon's Grove

The Dragon’s Grove garden is St. Margaret of Scotland’s school and community garden located on the northeast corner of Shaw and Lawrence.

Dragon library

The SMOS Library is run by parent and parish volunteers. Each class has the opportunity to visit the library each week, facilitating a further love of reading.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is taught bi-weekly by teachers certified in the practice and art of teaching mindfulness; it is practiced daily by all teachers and students.

Music

The outstanding music program ensures that all students have the opportunity to participate in music and performing arts in many different ways.

Technology is a tool used for engaging thinking and learning that advances with the students as they mature from preschool through 8th grade.

Teen Outreach

The Teen Outreach Program is taught in our middle school, emphasizing healthy lifestyles for teens and opportunities to learn from serving others.

World Languages

World Languages are offered at St. Margaret of Scotland School as an elective in an after-school club run by Parent volunteers. These language clubs are available to students in grades 3-8.
