The leaves are changing, the air is crisp and that means it’s almost SMOS Walk-A-Thon time! Parent volunteers are the heart of all fundraising at SMOS, so please sign up for a time slot to assist us in pulling off this event smoothly. Thank you!!
Please welcome the following families who have officially registered in St. Margaret of Scotland parish in the past several months.
As part of Friday announcements, Principal Holley likes to give shout outs to our students who get caught doing acts of kindness around school. We would like to share with you our weekly shout-outs:
• Mrs. Peterson’s Fifth Grade Class
• Ms. Betsy, Brayden M. & Addie R., and the 8th Grade Choir
I continue to be impressed by what our Middle School students learn, discuss, and co-create as part of the Student Diversity Committee, which is one of the electives available again this year to those in grades 6-8. Check out some fun we had last week on the playground mimicking a TikTok viral challenge – it was the students’ idea and they loved filming it!
If you’re like Maggie, you might just FALL in love with all of the autumn-y goodness coming up at SMOS in the next couple of weeks! This week, Maggie spills the (coffee) beans on her Favorite Fall Things and presents a list that is sure to please even the most ardent of pumpkin-spice-season detesters among us!

Maggie helps out a confused Papa who is showing his poker face when his daughter insists that he join her for Gaga on the playground during school! Turns out it’s a chance to help out at recess – play soccer, throw a ball, or even learn the latest TikTok craze – and just dance! Luckily for him, Maggie steps in to show him how to get set-up for duty… and avoid a bad romance with the school admin staff!
