About Our Parish

With an active Church and award-winning, growing School, St. Margaret of Scotland is a diverse urban Parish, a vibrant voice for justice, and a beacon of the Catholic faith shared through worship, lifelong education, and unconditional generosity.

Our Mission

We are a diverse, urban, Catholic parish. Inspired by the Holy Spirit and the example of our patroness, we are called to be a vibrant voice and beacon of the Catholic faith in our neighborhoods.  We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and action by:

  • Praying and celebrating as a Eucharistic community
  • Educating children and adults to live a full Christian life in today’s world
  • Serving others with unconditional generosity
  • Living just lives and working for a more just society

Clergy Corner

Fr. John Rogers Vien has served as Pastor of St. Margaret of Scotland since 2021.  He has been a priest in the Archdiocese of St. Louis for over 30 years.

Fr. John (and sometimes other guest priests) writes a weekly article in the Parish bulletin called “A New Week”, in which he highlights various things going on around the Parish, focuses attention on a social justice or ecumenical topic, and challenges all of us to become better disciples of Christ in our daily lives.

Besides presiding at Mass or around the Church and Rectory, you will most likely find Fr. John out walking the neighborhood with his dog, Axel.
