SMOS School News – by Patrick Holley, Principal

St. Margaret of Scotland hosted a prayer vigil, organized by its Gun Sense team, to commemorate the 2-year anniversary of the CVPA/CSMB school shooting.

As part of Friday announcements, Principal Holley likes to give shout outs to our students who get caught doing acts of kindness around school. We would like to share with you our weekly shout-outs:
• Ms. Cheatham’s Class and Ms. Heffernan’s & Ms. Kirner’s Classes
• Both 4th-Grade Classes
• Ruby E.
• Ms. Clark’s First Graders
• Devin F.

That’s another SMOS Walk-A-Thon in the books.  Thank you to the families who attended the event!  Walk-A-Thon Donations are due by November 18th.

This week we welcomed our visiting team for our school improvement process.  They will provide commendations for our school which I will share next week.

Family Game Night
Where: St. Margaret of Scotland School (Cafeteria)
When: Friday, November 15th
Time: 5pm-7pm

We’re approaching the end of October, so take one guess what topic Maggie’s inbox is flooded with this week? But if you thought it was concerning Maggie’s favorite holiday – you’d be wrong! Maggie puts her saintly spin on the details for next week’s prized holiday… and oh yes, she’ll also talk about Halloween!

The children will celebrate Halloween at School on Tuesday, October 29.

If you have paper or envelopes with printing on only one side that you are looking to get rid of, please keep the school office in mind.

SMOS 5th Grade students have been learning about Stewardship and have been charting acts of Stewardship they have been participating in for the past several weeks.
