We continue with our prayer, fasting, and giving for the Season of Lent. Here are the activities planned for this fourth full week of this holy season.

PRAY

St. Margaret of Scotland Rectory, Basement-Canmore Room (18)

All women of the parish have been invited to gather every Thursday in Lent to pray and discuss scripture. The group will meet for two more weeks, and then end their Lenten journey by attending Holy Thursday Mass together on April 2.

Stations of the Cross – Led by Respect Life Cmte.

Friday, March 20 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Sanctuary (700)
3864 Flad Ave., Saint Louis, 63110, United States

Join us on the fourth Friday of Lent, when our Respect Life Committee will lead parishioners in the Stations of the Cross.

FAST

At the beginning of Lent, Pope Leo invited Catholics worldwide to fast from more than just meat this year: “I would like to invite you to a very practical and frequently unappreciated form of abstinence: that of refraining from words that offend and hurt our neighbor. Let us begin by disarming our language, avoiding harsh words and rash judgement, refraining from slander and speaking ill of those who are not present and cannot defend themselves. Instead, let us strive to measure our words and cultivate kindness and respect in our families, among our friends, at work, on social media, in political debates, in the media and in Christian communities. In this way, words of hatred will give way to words of hope and peace.”
