For the month of June 2026, the SMOS Care For Creation team has some simple action items you can take for advocacy, support, and to give thanks.

The SMOS Living Justice Ministries is continuing in it’s mission to provide meals for the tornado recovery zone around Centennial Church in Fountain Park, which was devastated by a tornado on May 16, 2025.

JUNE IS NATIONAL GUN VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH. Every day, more than 300 people are directly impacted by gun violence in the United States. Gun Violence Awareness Month was created to draw attention to this tragic reality and demand life-saving change. The St. Louis Archdiocese honors this month with a weekly series of bulletin articles.

The School Board is holding their annual elections, in which the St. Margaret’s community will choose three people that will serve a 3-year term on the School Board. Election is now open and voting will close on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:00 PM.

Members and officers of the SMOS Society of St. Vincent de Paul attended the St. Louis St. Vincent de Paul Spring Assembly on May 9, 2026, at St. Louis University High School.

St. Margaret of Scotland welcomes Rev. Fr. Deogratius Kyara of the Diocese of Tanga, Tanzania, June 13–14, 2026, for the Annual Mission Appeal supporting the formation of future priests in East Africa.

Parishioners and neighbors are invited to a special Welcome Neighbor STL Supper Club Dinner in the Parish Hall at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, located at 3864 Flad Ave, on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Tickets on sale now!

We wish all the best to outgoing Principal Patrick Holley who just graduated with his EdD from SLU! Congratulations to Mr. Holley for earning his Doctorate in Educational Leadership!

The SMOS Gun Sense: For the Common Good team invites you to wear your orange and participate in events to honor survivors and victims of gun violence on Wear Orange Weekend, June 5-7.

The SMOS Living Justice Ministries – Immigration team is organizing a core group of parishioners who are interested in accompanying a local immigrant family on their journey.

Celebrate the Priestly Ordination of Dominick Jean, O.P. at St. Margaret of Scotland as he offers his first Mass on Sunday, May 17th at 10:00 AM. A reception for all parishioners is to follow down in the Parish Hall after Mass.

Congratulations to SMOS 5th Grade Girl Scout Troop 505 on earning their Bronze Award for 2026!

Registration for Fall 2026 Judge Dowd Soccer (Grades PK-1), CYC Soccer (Grades 2-8), and CYC Volleyball (Grades 3-8) is now open.

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, our Eucharistic table and parish community welcomed 44 children in receiving their First Holy Communion. They enrich us with their joyful faith, and we celebrate the chance to break bread with them at each Mass.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9am-Noon, the Living Justice Ministries Care for Creation team will volunteer to support Ms. Muhammad at the Be Well Cafe and weed her rain gardens.

SMOS Youth Ministry invites all teens in 6th-12th grade to join them for their final Formation Night of the school year on Sunday, May 10th from 7:00–8:30 PM in the Parish Hall!

Our Archdiocese is preparing for a historic celebration, and you are invited to be part of it in a very personal way. Through the Prayer of the People, each of us can offer a prayer that will be carried forward at the Jubilee Mass in July 2026.

Please join us in the last Youth Mass of the 2025-2026 school year on May 9, 2026, at 4:30pm. All 6th-12th graders are invited to participate in the liturgy as lectors and musicians.
