February is Heart Month, and February 6 is National Wear Red Day—a day when people wear red to show they care about their hearts and about those affected by heart disease.
Wearing red helps remind us how important our hearts are and why taking care of them matters. It also helps us remember that some children are born with hearts that need extra care and help from doctors.
Our SMOS community will be wearing red to learn more about Pediatric Heart Disease in support of our own Dragon, Conor Farrell, who was born with a heart condition. Together, we’re helping spread awareness and raise funds for the Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation, which supports children and families impacted by Pediatric Heart Disease.
Students are invited to donate $1 to dress down and wear their favorite red attire while supporting this meaningful cause. Learn more by visiting the foundation’s website. ❤️
