It’s been a little while since the PTA has shared an update, so we wanted to check in with what we’ve been up to — and what’s on the horizon!
To date, 31 teacher grants have been awarded totaling approximately $5,300, with one more cycle left this school year. These grants help bring creative ideas and meaningful resources directly into our classrooms. In February, we were thrilled to welcome Kunama Mtendaji from World African Arts, who showcased his incredible African drumming talents in celebration of Black History Month. It was an engaging and memorable experience for our students.
Trivia Night was another huge success, raising $13,731 for our general budget. These funds help keep important initiatives like the Teacher Grants program and our DEI efforts running strong — thank you to everyone who participated and supported!
Looking ahead, we have several exciting events coming up. First up is the Fish Fry next Friday — tickets are already sold out, and we’re looking forward to another fantastic evening. And in April, the Family Dance is BACK — mark your calendars for April 10th! We have some exciting changes planned for this beloved event, so be on the lookout for more information coming soon.
So far, it’s been an incredible year, and we can’t wait to see what these final months will bring. As always, thank you for your continued support of the PTA — we truly couldn’t do this without you!
