Throughout the school year, we present an article in the bulletin each week providing updates from St. Margaret’s School, written by a member of our school staff.

This month, we will focus on learning about St. Pio of Pietrelcina, or Padre Pio. St. Padre Pio is a modern Saint, passing away in 1968. Padre Pio is known for his mysticism. From an early age, he was said to be able to see Guardian Angels and hold conversations with Jesus and Mary. He was said to levitate, perform miracles, and experience Stigmata. He was also known for his piety, humility, charity, and ability to preach. He was quoted as saying ‘Pray, hope, and don’t worry.” Let’s together ask for St. Pio’s intercession for greater hope.
I ask in a special way that you keep our eighth graders in your prayers. This Tuesday, high school applications open. This can be a very exciting and stressful time for our young men and women. Please keep them in your prayers as they start making decisions on where they will spend the next four years of their educational journeys.
