Mrs. C. has a request from Maggie this week – well, really more of a plea in her hour of exhaustion. With Maggie “injured” (read: dramatically reclining and quoting ‘The Devil Wears Prada’), Paige steps in to rally parents to sign up for Field Day before the situation escalates. None of us is prepared for the measures Maggie will take if we don’t get enough volunteers.

Teacher Appreciation Week 2026 runs from May 4th-8th.  The PTA has a full week of celebrations planned for the amazing SMOS faculty and staff members!

Congratulations to the SMOS Speech Team members who qualified for the final Bellarmine Speech League tournament! It was an honor for them to attend, and they performed with excellence on April 25, 2026!

Spring at St. Margaret of Scotland is filled with joyful celebrations of faith, from recent Confirmations to upcoming First Communion and May Crowning, as our school community comes together in prayer and gratitude.

As part of Friday announcements, Principal Holley likes to give shout outs to our students who get caught doing acts of kindness around school. We would like to share with you our weekly shout-outs:
• Crosby R. & Maren R.

Support the BSA Troop 110B and get your pretzel fix!  Starting at 12:00pm Noon on Friday, May 8, 2026, the Boy Scouts will be selling Pretzel Boys’ pretzels for $2.00 each to support their Sea Base expedition this summer.

All are welcome to join in the St. Margaret of Scotland Parish Hall for a Spring Concert put on by the Middle School Choir & Violin students – it promises to be a beautiful evening of song and musical performance. Featuring 6th-8th Grade singers and musicians from St. Margaret’s School.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to this year’s SMOS Day of Service – the campus looks fantastic thanks to your hard work and dedication. Please also keep our second-grade students and their catechists in your prayers as they prepare to receive their First Communion this Sunday.

Please join us in the last Youth Mass of the 2025-2026 school year on May 9, 2026, at 4:30pm. All 6th-12th graders are invited to participate in the liturgy as lectors and musicians.

Congratulationsto our parishioner Josephine Bradshaw, a 7th Grader at St. Margaret of Scotland School and the daughter of Drew and Julie Bradshaw, who placed first in her category and now will advance to the National History Day competition to represent Missouri in Washington, DC, on June 14.

During the month of May, the Respect Life Cmte. would like to prayerfully support expectant mothers.

Join us for our fourth annual Vacation Bible School at St. Margaret’s! Registration is now open for camp which runs Monday-Friday, August 3-7, 2026, from 9:00am-Noon each day.

If you would like your special someone to be remembered in the Masses for Mother’s Day, envelopes are in the Church to record their names and make an offering.

With the prediction of extreme severe weather this afternoon (Monday, April 27), the Parish Office and St. Margaret’s School will be closing early at 1:00 PM.

If I’m going to be a sheep that follows the voice of my shepherd, I have to know what that voice sounds like. I have to know it well enough that I can tell the difference between His voice, and the voice of others.

This week, I ask that you pray in a special way for our second-grade students who will be participating in their first communion on May 3rd.

SMOS Field Day 2026 will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026. This is a half-day, so all grades will participate in the morning, starting at 8:15am and ending at 11:45am. Volunteers are needed!

This week, a concerned parent wonders if Chrissy Rogers has finally gone off the deep end after unveiling a Day of Service plan that feels – to put it mildly – “ambitious”. Maggie is here to reassure everyone that this is just Chrissy being Chrissy -miraculously pulling off the impossible every year – with Whit quietly following behind, fixing everything with power tools. Moral of the story: show up and help… or at least come witness the chaos unfold.

As part of Friday announcements, Principal Holley likes to give shout outs to our students who get caught doing acts of kindness around school. We would like to share with you our weekly shout-outs:
