SMOS families with children not enrolled in St. Margaret of Scotland School are asked to complete the annual Religious Education Survey by August 21st to help the parish support their children’s faith formation and sacramental preparation.

The SMOS Living Justice Ministries will once again be gathering on Friday, July 3, 2026 to voice our concerns for issues regarding peace & justice. Wear your red, white, & blue and show your support for democracy on this 250th Anniversary of the U.S.

Drawing on the image of salmon swimming upstream, Fr. John reminds us that the Christian life requires perseverance, courage, and compassion as we face life’s challenges, encouraging one another to “begin again” and keep moving toward the eternal home God has prepared for us.

Drawing on firsthand experiences with refugees and migrants, parishioner Bob Pashos reflects on the Gospel call to welcome the stranger and highlights ways St. Margaret’s parishioners can get involved.

As he prepares to lead both St. Margaret of Scotland and St. Pius V beginning July 1, Fr. John shares updates on parish collaboration plans and invites parishioners to help discern the future through a new Parish Synodal Council.

Parish ministry leaders and event organizers are asked to submit their meeting and event requests by July 1 to reserve space and help shape the parish calendar for 2026-2027.

All parishioners are invited to a prayerful Parish Synodal Council Discernment gathering on June 18 to discuss the future mission and leadership of St. Margaret of Scotland.

There is still much more work to do. On the weekend of June 6-7th, the SMOS community will come together to honor survivors and build community with those working to end gun violence during Wear Orange Weekend.
