The SMOS Living Justice Ministries is continuing in its mission to provide meals for the tornado recovery zone around Centennial Church in Fountain Park, which was devastated by a tornado on May 16, 2025.

As you may recall, SMOS parishioners answered the call for meals to help with the food pantry at Centennial Church last Summer and Fall, after the building sustained severe damage in the storm. Unfortunately, the Church has been torn down now. But the need in the area continues to grow as recovery efforts have been slow to manifest – and St. Margaret’s is now partnering with 314 Oasis, who have established weekly operations at The Green HUB, to continue to serve the Fountain Park community.

Throughout the Summer and into the Fall of 2026, the Living Justice Ministries team will be organizing the meal on one Friday of every month to support this North City community.

If you are interested in volunteering to help, please click the link below to sign up. There are numerous slots available for donation items, cooked items, and volunteers to help package and deliver & serve. If you haven’t yet volunteered – it’s never too late to help.  The tornado relief work in North City is a massive undertaking – but we’re glad to be able to participate even in this small way.
