New Faculty Hires 2026-2027

Mr. Holley recently sent out a letter outlining those staff members who are leaving St. Margaret of Scotland at the end of the 2025/2026 school year.  We thank them for their hard work and dedication to Catholic education and wish them luck in their future endeavors.

The administrative team has been working diligently on meeting with candidates to fill the open positions.  They are very happy to announce that we have made several excellent hires in the past couple of months.  We would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to a few of these candidates:

  • Gabrielle Paraino (5th Grade) – While not new to the school, we would like to welcome Ms. Paraino to our full-time staff as the new fifth-grade teacher. Ms. Paraino has worked this year as the long-term substitute in second grade and has done a fabulous job. She has also spent time as a long-term sub at Green Pines Elementary and as a Substitute Teacher in the Rockwood School District. She is currently finishing up her degree in Education from The University of Missouri – St. Louis.  We are incredibly happy that she has chosen to be a part of the St. Margaret of Scotland Team.
  • Luis Espinoza (STREAM) – Please join us in welcoming Louis Espinoza as the new STREAM teacher. Luis has recently graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Computer Science.  He has served as a program trainer, teaching students in grades 6-12 STEAM, digital literacy, responsible technology use, and internet safety. He also worked in Campus Ministry, where he organized outreach programs and instructed students in the Catholic Faith. We are very excited to have Mr. Espinoza on our team.

  • Valerie Schnack (Physical Education) – We are very lucky and excited to have Mrs. Schnack as our new gym teacher next year.  Mrs. Schnack comes to us with fifteen years of gym teacher experience – most recently at South City Catholic Academy. Mrs. Schnack has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education and a Masters Degree in Kinesiology.  She also has several years of high school coaching experience in Volleyball, Softball, and Basketball.  We know that Mrs. Schanck will be an excellent member of our team.

  • Juliette Callahan (Language Arts – Middle School) – Ms. Callahan is a recent graduate from St. Louis University, where she majored in English with a minor in creative writing and theology.  Ms. Callahan is a published poet and has won awards for her creative writing. She has worked as a nanny, lead teacher and organizer of Proxey Poetry Reading, a writing consultant, and a tutor. We look forward to having Mrs. Callahan’s expertise on our middle school team.
