St. Vincent de Paul taught us that when we serve those in need, we encounter Christ
Himself.
Every day, Society of St. Vincent de Paul volunteer members put these words into action. Across our St. Margaret of Scotland conference, we help neighbors in need through home visits, utility and rent assistance, food support through Isaiah 58, and compassionate friendship.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul walks alongside these neighbors during difficult times.
Our mission is not only to provide material aid but also to remind each person that they are loved by God and valued by their community.
As we hear Christ’s words in Matthew 25, let us ask ourselves: How is God calling me to serve? There is a place for you in this ministry. If you can give a few hours each month, make a home visit. make a financial contribution, or become a member, your participation helps bring Christ’s compassion to those who need it most.

Consider helping or donating to these upcoming events:
September 19-20: The SVDP donation truck will be collecting items for our local SVDP thrift store. Your donated items will be taken to a local SVDP store where neighbors in need are able to buy items at a discounted rate. Consider donating gently-used clean clothing, household and kitchen items, microwaves in working order and less than 10 years old, small pieces of furniture, tools, sporting goods, books and toys.
October 17: The Coats and Costumes Party was a huge success in 2025 and we will once again collect coats and costumes for our neighbors. Details to follow.
