CANCELLED – Due to the wet weather, we are canceling the Blessing of Easter Baskets & Chalk Drawings at Noon. Our Easter Vigil will still begin at 8 PM tonight.
Easter is a time of joy, renewal, and vibrant traditions. One such delightful tradition is the blessing of Easter baskets, an annual event that beautifully combines faith and creativity. Again this year, St. Margaret of Scotland invites all parishioners and school families to participate in the Blessing of the Easter Baskets on Holy Saturday, April 4, at 12:00 PM, held in the Church courtyard (between the Church and Rectory). Children are encouraged to decorate their baskets and bring them to Church to be blessed in anticipation of Easter Sunday. Easter foods can also be brought for blessing by families as well.
In addition to the blessing, attendees are encouraged to showcase their artistic talents with Chalk Drawings. The sidewalk in front of Church becomes a canvas, alive with vibrant colors and creative expressions to welcome everyone who comes to Church for the Easter holiday. This tradition not only adds a splash of color to our parish Easter celebrations but also allows the children to participate more fully in the joy of Jesus’ Resurrection. Bring your chalk, your ideas, and your enthusiasm!
