Plans are well underway for SMOS School Open House 2026, and we’re excited to invite our entire parish and school community to be part of it!
Open House is a wonderful opportunity for prospective families to tour St. Margaret of Scotland School, learn more about our faith-filled community, and begin the registration process for the upcoming school year. But at SMOS, Open House has grown into so much more than a “recruiting” event—it has become a joyful celebration of who we are as a parish and school family.
Join us on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as we welcome new families and proudly showcase everything that makes St. Margaret’s such a special place.
How You Can Help Make Open House a Success
There are three easy—and meaningful—ways you can support Open House this year:
1. Come and Celebrate With Us
We would love to see our school families and parishioners there! Open House is the perfect time to reconnect, meet new faces, and enjoy some fellowship together. Grab a taco (because, as anyone who has read to little ones knows, Dragons Love Tacos!), explore the building, and take pride in the vibrant SMOS community we share.
Be sure not to miss what’s happening in our Middle School. A self-guided tour in Purcell Hall will highlight the exciting electives and strong academics offered to our 6th–8th grade students. It’s a great way to kick off Catholic Schools Week while celebrating all the good things happening at St. Margaret’s.
2. Welcome Our Visiting Families
Open House brings many prospective families who are beginning their journey with SMOS. A warm smile and friendly conversation can make all the difference. Please take a moment to welcome our guests and share your own experiences as part of the St. Margaret’s community.
If chatting isn’t your favorite thing, consider volunteering to lead a tour alongside one of our middle school students. No special expertise required—we provide plenty of talking points! A sign-up link is available below for anyone interested in helping in this way.
3. Help Spread the Word
Word of mouth is our most powerful tool. Open House details are already posted on our website and social media, but we’d love your help sharing the event with friends, family, and neighbors. Feel free to repost our social media graphics, share the Facebook Event, or print or email the flyer to anyone who might be interested in learning more about SMOS.
