Lent 2026 – Week 3

We continue with our prayer, fasting, and giving for the Season of Lent. Here are the activities planned for this third full week of this holy season.

PRAY

Men’s Lent Night

Sunday, March 8 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Sanctuary (700)
3864 Flad Ave., Saint Louis, 63110, United States

Men of the parish—join us for Men’s Lent Night: an evening of faith, food, and fellowship. Optional Adoration in the SVDP Chapel from 4:15–4:45 pm, followed by speakers and discussion in the Church at 5:00 pm. Then we’ll head outside for food and conversation. The main dish is covered—bring a side, a beverage (extra to share if you’d like), and a lawn chair. Free to attend; donations welcome. All are invited!

Parish Penance Service

Tuesday, March 10 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Sanctuary (700)
3864 Flad Ave., Saint Louis, 63110, United States

Please join us for this wonderful opportunity for Lenten confession.

Eucharistic Adoration

Thursday, March 12 @ 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Chapel (24)
3864 Flad Ave., Saint Louis, 63110, United States

Every Thursday in the St. Vincent de Paul Chapel (enter through the doors off 39th St.)

Come sit for quiet prayer in front of our Lord – whether you have 10 minutes or an hour. Praying in front of the Eucharist is a long tradition in our faith, and allows us a physical closeness with Christ that we do not often have the opportunity for. You do not need to have received First Communion (or even be baptized) to pray in this way.

If you would like to attend Adoration but feel nervous because you have never gone before, reach out to Ruth Pera! She is happy to accompany you and answer questions about this special form of prayer.

Coming Up…

Stations of the Cross – Led by Respect Life Cmte.

Friday, March 20 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Sanctuary (700)
3864 Flad Ave., Saint Louis, 63110, United States

Join us on the fourth Friday of Lent, when our Respect Life Committee will lead parishioners in the Stations of the Cross.

FAST

Lenten Fish Fry

Friday, March 13 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
St. Margaret of Scotland School, Faith Hall-Cafeteria (300)
3964 Castleman Ave., Saint Louis, 63110, United States

Tickets for this abstinence-friendly parish & school event are now SOLD OUT. But… you can always participate and give service by volunteering.

If you didn’t get tickets, before you start sadly microwaving a frozen pizza, consider this your not-so-subtle nudge to volunteer. We need helping hands—and rumor has it the clean-up crew gets first dibs on any leftovers.

Parish Lenten Project – Wellston Center

Our Parish Lenten Project for 2026 is in support of the Wellston Center.

Did you know that the Wellston Center purchases most of the food given away in their food pantry? This allows them to offer a consistent menu of choices for their clients so that families can plan ahead to make healthy and economical meals at home.

Help them in their mission – click the link below to donate.
