Weekly News From St. Margaret of Scotland School

Thomas, Principal
~ I have been anxiously awaiting my first Mass In The Grass! Since moving to St. Louis, we have blazed through the T-Ravs, “where did you go to high school?” chats, losing our children at City Museum, Imo’s (fans!), stuffing our faces at Festival of Nations, and butchering all the street names. We’ve also paid our $20 “street donations” to the city, our dogs are learning that other dogs exist, and we haven’t made it to Ted Drewes yet. We are living in a beautiful season of “firsts” and excitedly anticipating all that is to come. Though extremely joyful, it’s all a bit bittersweet because those firsts can only happen once and make us hyper aware that time is passing. These “firsts” are a reminder that God has sent us invitations to be present and grateful for this season, and for that, I’m extremely grateful.
As a school community, we are constantly growing, learning, changing, and becoming. And we don’t get to experience these exact moments, in this way, again. That makes them all the more precious. May we treat this day, and every day we are given with one another, as a first…pausing long enough to notice the wonder, receive the gift, and acknowledge the awe that comes with it.
Throughout the school year, we present an article in the bulletin each week providing updates from St. Margaret’s School, written by a member of our school staff.
