Congratulations to SMOS 5th Grade Girl Scout Troop 505 on earning their Bronze Award this year! The Girl Scout Bronze Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve.
Troop 505 earned their award by focusing on their nearby community needs via 20 hours of award work each. They cleaned up Halloween trash around the school and Shaw neighborhood; they planted critically endangered trees at Tower Grove Park; they earned their Junior Aid Award by leading younger troop activities; they helped provide meals to those in need alongside Isaiah 58 Ministries and St. John’s Episcopal Church, and they led the charge in establishing the SMOS Girl Scout Fair in support of the parish’s Lenten Partner.
This award recognizes the following girls who took action to help their community: Stella Ajagunna, Louise Barnett, Anna Dix, Valerie Harper, Mara Holt, Cecelia Ordway, Miriam Pera, Cecilia Schoemehl, Julietta Shabani, Josie Stark, & Anna Toben.
