The 2026 St. Margaret of Scotland Creation Celebration was a great success! This year the pilgrimage (which was held on April 18-19, witnessed a 42% increase over the highest participation to date, almost 200 registered pilgrims traveled more than 159 miles combined, and scores of others enjoyed the festivities. The Living Justice Ministry Creation Team also passed out approximately 200 native plants.
The numbers hardly tell the story. Parish participation was exciting, and the Creation Celebration station attracted attention from employees in the corner market; people in vehicles pulled over to see what was happening; and neighbors out for a jog or walk, who are not parishioners of St. Margaret’s, stopped to inquire and chat. A good portion of the plants ended up in the hands and cars of non-parishioners.
Many thanks to all who participated in the pilgrimage or stopped at the table to say hello! And special thanks to Father Vien for his support! The Creation Team hopes you’ll consider walking, biking, or rolling to mass again in the weeks to come.
