This week, Maggie is trapped – and no, it’s not the due to the sidewalk construction around Shaw. She’s lost in Maggie’s Closet (trust us, we know the feeling!), and so it’s Paige to the rescue – literally – with some tips about how to declutter and what should and should not be considered “donations”. And if you can speak through the piles of clothing contributions, Maggie – call out if you can hear us! Are you trapped under something heavy?? We’re coming for you!!

Dear Maggie – October 16, 2025

**URGENT**

Hi Dragons — Paige here! I’m filling in for Maggie this week because, well… I seem to have lost her.

I sent her up to Maggie’s Closet to grab some extra gym clothes for Bernie (she was subbing for Coach Miller — and let me tell you, that was almost as entertaining as watching Carmela sub for Mrs. Dicker’s class last week!). That was two days ago… and I haven’t seen her since.

I have a sneaking suspicion she’s been buried alive under the mountain of “donations” that have taken over up there. As my college roommate used to say — things have gotten O.O.C. (that’s Out Of Control for those who didn’t minor in sarcasm).

Just the other day, I was at the front desk with Mrs. Ordway when a very nice woman dropped off several bags. Only problem? I’m 99% sure her kids don’t even go here. I wish I were joking.

So, in the interest of safety (and Maggie’s eventual rescue), here are a few ground rules for what you ✅ can and ❌ cannot drop off at Maggie’s Closet:

✅ SMOS red uniform polos
✅ SMOS uniform bottoms
✅ SMOS plaid jumpers & skirts
✅ SMOS T-shirts
✅ SMOS sweatshirts
✅ SMOS sweatpants
✅ Navy leggings
✅ SMOS Athletic Association swag
✅ SMOS hair bows/accessories

❌ Non-SMOS clothes
❌ Clothes with holes or stains
❌ Shoes
❌ White or light blue polos
❌ Bags, hats, or random accessories

Here’s the golden rule:
If you have even one second of doubt about whether it belongs in Maggie’s Closet — it doesn’t.

Repeat after me:
“Maggie’s Closet is NOT Goodwill. Maggie’s Closet is NOT St. Vincent de Paul.”

I mean, I know many of you are into thrifting… so am I, but Maggie’s Closet is not the place, trust me.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m heading back in with a flashlight and a rope to see if I can dig her out.  If you don’t hear from me soon, send in reinforcements!

Maggie… send signs of life! Oh wait… 😬
