Maggie’s got big plans over the Summer – and they involve TV. Not watching it – being on it! She plans to be the ultimate game show contestant, and since this is the last official newsletter for this school year, she plans to take full advantage of her early exit. So, this is goodbye until August – or as they say in television, that’s a wrap!

Dear Maggie – May 16, 2024

Dear Reader —

I’ve had a fairly empty inbox this last week – I can only assume it’s because you’re all insanely busy with end-of-year activities and not because you’ve forgotten about me!  #GodForbid  As for myself, I have been starting to make my summer plans, so I must admit, I’m not too sad about the lack of correspondence.

I have declared this: the Summer of Game Shows!  I have already secured my spots on Wheel of Fortune in early June (gotta get in some quality Sajak time before he retires!), Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader (I’ve got serious doubts about this one) in July, and I’ll be wrapping up my summer as a contestant on The Amazing Race!  Terry and Bernie are pretty peeved that I didn’t ask either of them to be my partner, but asking my pal Caj was no no-brainer!  You see Saint Cajetan is the patron saint of gamblers, and after all, it seemed like a really big gamble to think that I’d be able to finish the Amazing Race!

I know there is one more week of school for your little angels, but since is the last official newsletter for this school year, I too am signing off for the year as of today!  I will be spending my next week gathering hiking boots, reviewing my times tables, and doing bicep curls to ensure a good spin of that wheel!  If you’ve got burning questions over the summer feel free to send them over, but as the youngins say: I’m slamming my laptop shut until August.

I’ll be back to your regularly scheduled programming on Aug 24th at the latest. I hope you all have a joyful and sunkissed summer.  Once again, I have loved being your Ghostly Guide through the school year. I can’t wait to see how much taller all these kids get over the summer and I can’t wait to hear from each of you next school year!
